Resin Driveways in Kettering and North Northamptonshire: Done Properly from the Base Up
Call Eco Resin Driveways on 01536 580137 for a free site survey, with colour samples laid against your own frontage.
Eco Resin Driveways installs resin bound driveways, patios and paths, resin overlays on tarmac and concrete, and the groundwork and dropped kerb applications that go with them. We cover our home town and the surrounding North Northamptonshire area, including Corby, Wellingborough, Rothwell, Desborough and Burton Latimer. For a typical drive here, a full resin bound job runs at £150-£220 per m² all in, covering dig-out, base, edging, surface and clear-up (Rutland Driveways, October 2026). Find your town below and see what a job near you involves.
Where We Work
Our coverage area runs across the whole of North Northamptonshire and a little beyond. We work in busy town streets and on quiet village lanes alike, and in new estates as well as older roads where the houses have stood for a century or more.
Seven of the towns we cover have their own page, with detail on the housing, ground and local rules:
We also work in Geddington, Broughton, Isham, Mawsley, Thrapston, Raunds, Irthlingborough, Rushden, Higham Ferrers, Market Harborough, Oundle and Northampton. If your village or street isn’t named here, ring us anyway. We’ll tell you straight whether it’s within reach.
What We Do
Resin bound driveways. This is the bulk of our work. The surface is porous, so water drains through it, and that is what keeps a front drive within permitted development. The Planning Portal (2026) says no planning permission is needed for a new or replacement driveway of any size that uses permeable surfacing, or drains to a lawn or border.
Patios and paths. The same material works well for back gardens and front paths, and it ties the whole frontage together.
Overlays on tarmac and concrete. Sometimes an existing surface is sound enough to take resin on top. Sometimes it isn’t. We’ll tell you which at the survey, and if the base has to come out, we’ll say so plainly. National guidance puts a dig-out and replacement base at an extra £50-£80 per m² (BestBuilders, updated 22 August 2026). Skipping that step on a failing base is the usual reason cheap resin cracks.
Groundwork and dropped kerbs. Many drives need the kerb lowered before a vehicle can legally cross the pavement. That application goes through North Northamptonshire Council, and we can talk you through it before any work starts.
Why a Local Installer Makes a Difference
The houses across this area vary a lot. You’ll find red brick and ironstone frontages in the older streets, Victorian terraces, 1930s semis, post-war estates and recent new-builds. Each one has different demands on a drive.
The ground varies too. It ranges from ironstone to clay, and new-build plots are often compacted subsoil under thin topsoil (Rutland Driveways, October 2026). A base that suits one street can fail on the next, which is why we look at the ground before we quote.
Local rules matter as well. There are 26 conservation areas in Kettering, including the town centre, Barton Seagrave, Burton Latimer, Geddington and Rothwell (Rutland Driveways, October 2026). If your house sits in one, it’s worth checking what’s expected of your frontage before you commit to a colour or finish.
Knowing the roads also helps with the practical side of the job. Narrow terraced streets, shared accesses and tight turning space for the skip all change how a drive gets built.
Questions About Our Coverage
Do you cover villages as well as towns?
Yes. We work in villages and rural parts of North Northamptonshire as well as the larger towns, including Geddington, Broughton, Isham and Mawsley. Longer drives and country access often need extra thought on groundwork, so the survey is where we look at the practical details and agree a price.
How do I find out if you cover my postcode?
Ring 01536 580137 or send your address through the contact form. We’ll confirm whether we cover your area and arrange a free survey if we do. If you live in a town with its own page above, you can read that first to see what’s involved locally.
Is the price the same wherever I live in your area?
No. The price depends on the size of the drive, the condition of the base, the edging and the colour, not the postcode. A typical 30-50 m² drive in this area comes to roughly £4,500-£11,000 for resin bound (Rutland Driveways, October 2026). Installers’ prices for the same job can also differ by 20-30% in one area (MyBuilder, 2026), so compare quotes like for like.
Do you work outside the towns listed?
Our service area covers the places named on this page, from Oundle and Thrapston in the east to Market Harborough in the west and Northampton in the south. If you’re just outside that, get in touch and we’ll tell you honestly whether the job is one we can take on.
